YOU MUST PROVIDE A COPY OF YOUR fire arms TRAINING COURSE Do not miss any thing on the app. If you do miss the state will keep your 50 bucks and you will have to resubmit it with another 50 bucks.. On the mailing envelope make sure you have 2 u.s postage stamps on the envelope. that also is a requirement,,, TO ALL WHO DONT KNOW BY LAW WE CANT EVEN CARRY OUR POCKET KNIVES ANYMORE WITH OUT ONE.. I know most of us guys all carry pocket knifes,, dont get caught with one with out a ccw. permit .. also this new law allows us to own electric weapons .. meaning we can by pistol tazzers now if we want.. keith bennett filled me in on most of the above,, As for me I have most of it done already,, now I'am checking in on electric weapons,, D.B.A

End of range 2011 party

Everyone that could make it, came to the end of year party,, we all had a good time , this year old members hung the new members, linda, mike balmans wife got hung for wareing w's on the range,, you would have to be there to understand.. craig bills was hung,, mike balman was set free from the judge, he is the only member to have ever been set free,, next year will be the test,,we all had such a good time ,, thank you all again for such a wonderful summer, tony would like to get together and play cards , this winter,, he donated a BIG card table,, I talked to freeman he said he is in for the game, I am not much of a card player, but I made a chess board for all of us if anyone plays,, I extended the bar in the club house, and hung a tv from the ceiling, To all members the building is yours you can enjoy it anytime this winter as you wish . give me the heads up I will light the pellet stove for you a few hours in advance so its warm in there for you,,, you guys are the greatest,,, Mike

GREAT YEAR EVERYONE

Well guys range has come and gone again this year,, I sure had fun with all of you this year, and our 3 new members,,
sat, the 17th we Turn the broad heads back on , time to hunt that buck again,, I am sure looking forward to it,, debi still has to figure the scores out for the year, I will post them as soon as I know,,
our new pellet stove will be here next week that will be nice for the future winter football games , races , baseball,, hunting shows,, I hope we all get together weekly and enjoy your new club house, the end of the year party sounds like the 22nd of oct , but we will all keep in touch with that,,, yes for the last week I didnt shoot my round so I took a big fat zero,, we missed tony, mike, keith, mitch, and mat ,due to their jobs they couldnt make it the last night,, I would hope everyone posts their deer on here this fall , I hope freeman a great time out in Wyoming Antolope hunting, ray the best on his traping and hunting season,, and all members the best hunting possible,, thanks again for another wonderful year of memories ,, you all are GREAT friends a guy could ask for and ever want,,

The club house got along way this year, this is the outside of the new club house,, special thanks goes to all the members who worked on it and donated, the time and materials to make it happen for all of us,, we have a great bunch of guy's and gal's , freeman bennett did a wonderful job on the planing of the building. and the construction of the club house and the use of his tools, we all followed his advise, freeman is very good at construction, just goes to show ya when we all work together we can all win , ray briggs and myself, craig bills boxed in the eves , to keep the animals out, kieth bennett , helped stand trusses and get the sheeting on the roof and floor,, russ nellis donated a fridge helped prep trusses, for the club house,, ray briggs donated all electrical, and some insulation,, and a bar that we all will enjoy,
craig bills helped with labor and the use of his tools,,. craigs mom and dad . gave us the windows, that we needed. mike ballman donated 2 big lights and a new broom and 1 packer sign,, we changed a few things over the years since we started the range,, it was open to the public. Now it a members only club,, we are always looking for new members, but there is rules to be followed to become a member,, all members own this range, and all members vote on new members,, we like to have fun and laugh, if this sounds like you ,we would like to have you,, for the following 2012 summer,,

kieth bennett has been there from the the start also , he takes his free time and helps when he dont have to,, he is one of the best shooters I have seen ,, and loves the sport true to the hart,, wish he was here today i sure enjoy laughing with him,, he knows allot about archery, And I learn allot from him, I am very lucky to know him and be his friend.. we had a great time tonight , freeman and ray and tony . mike our newest member. russ , and my self ,,we all shot sat by the fire laughed and talked just like i always wanted.. what a great bunch of guys,, mike ballman our newest member brought his dad (harold , and is brother dave tonight to check it out,, very nice men,, they sure enjoyed them selfs,, I couldnt of hand picked better friends if I tried,, so I had a few to many beers tonight thats normal I guess,, freeman and ray and my son mat have been there from the begining ,, they see what i see,, and we are after the same goal in the long run, a range we can call our own. and many members

russ nellis is a newer shooter, and he has a true talent in the sport he holds rock solid, he has a talent that most of us would love to have,, We all tell him that but I dont think he sees it yet,, he is one of my closest friends and I sure enjoy hanging out with him ,,

ray is coming in the morning to work on the club building,, and craig bills, freeman, ray , mike and craig and my self will hump on the building this weekend to get as far as we can to get it done before snow flies our way,,

kieth , craig and mitch, mat,, all had to work today and missed the shoot. we sure missed them all
work gets in the way of life but we all have to do it like it or not,,
ray says that his traping season starts in oct.. we wish him the best of luck this year, we hope he gets his furs that pays for his outdoor life in the fall,, he lives for that,,I'm blessed to have such a good friend..

God give me all these friends that I have truly asked for, I would do anything for each and everyone of them , .

2011 bow season

Well guys this is what we live for it is almost here again( BOW SEASON, the doe tags will be going on sale. around august 12,th but I heard august 20,th also,, I will keep you up to date as I know,, we will be able to shoot does this bow season, ,, there should be a lot of spike and forks this year also, since there was no doe permits sold last year ,, above hwy 64 in Wisconsin..
As far as the doe tags go, there will only be a limited amount of them issued this year,, I was told there will not be any at all in Vilas county this year,, I am sure looking forward to hearing ducks and geese flying south again and the fall colors God gives us all.. How lucky we are to even be able to see such beauty,,
Ray brigs starts his trapping season around that time also,, we wish him luck this year,, . for the last few years I have been hunting with freeman, I sure enjoy hunting with him,,. and I look forward to it,,

Any way its almost time to screw on the blades , 3d targets are fun ,, but they just don't taste very good. lol.

wife and I took the fire pit for a test drive a day early ,, tonight it worked well bugs were still bad put some more wood on it and helped a little for the bugs squitos are bad this year, but we brushed the 2 dogs cheyenne and kaycee, they liked it ,a nail clip for old brown dog(kaycee) we had 2 beers, wife and I ,, I enjoyed spending time with my wife deb ,, and my boy, and baby girl (dogs),,

freeman was the top shooter of the day,, then russ nellis, I cant see past the sights it seems like, but we all had a good day , keith bennet was shooting low and to the left,, I was just the opposite high and to the right,, it was a beautiful day out , we all got done with the shoot and sat around and did the b,s thing ,, all and all ray , craig , and keith did the 2 week make up shoot , freeman , russ and I did the last rain date make up so we are all up to date on the weekly range thing,, I sure love geting together with all the guys and gals,, its memories that i love, and I think about allot , deb did a wonderful job keeping score today with all the madness of everyone in many directions,, Keith's wife Theresa did the camera today did a great job , so the next few post's will be the members shooting ,,, all comments are welcome ,, look forward to the comments

Hot outside but fun

Wednesday 7-20-11 russ nellis was the top shooter of the evening, it was 95 degrees out,, HOT..it was just horrid to shoot , between the deer flies and the heat, we still all had a good time . those are some die hard men they love to shoot,, Mitch moore, Craig bills , tony , matt kecker ,, couldn't make it due to their jobs,, they will have to make up the shoot , before end of our season,,.

It was a hard shoot with the high temp and humidity, our hands were sweating so bad it was hard to hold a steady grip. felt like the bow wanted to slip rite out of our hands,,

I tied this from paracord , this was my first try. since then I went to black and white. I think it dresses up the bow a little,, but white gets dirty fast from the oil from your hands. I will have to retie it with darker color
